Frequently asked questions
Everything you want to know before you start.
Money & commitment
Is the price fixed, or are there hidden costs?
The price is fixed. The build costs €890 excl. VAT, plus any options you choose in the configurator, and the subscription is €79 excl. VAT a month, fixed. No hidden costs, no surprise invoice for an included change. If a request goes beyond the standard scope (new feature, redesign, large volume of content), I send you a quote first. Never afterwards.
What happens to my site if I want to leave?
You can cancel the subscription at any time, with 30 days’ notice. At the end of the notice period, Dylabz Connect stops hosting and maintaining the site. You keep your content and your domain name: I transfer it free of charge to the provider of your choice. The site’s source code remains the property of Dylabz Connect and is not transferred. If you switch provider, they start from a new site.
Can I pay for the build in instalments?
Yes. The build is paid in 2 instalments: 50% on signing, 50% before your site goes live.
If I have no changes to request for 3 months, do I still pay?
Yes. The €79 excl. VAT monthly subscription doesn’t only cover your requests: it covers hosting, the domain name, daily backups, security, SSL, monitoring and updates. Everything that keeps your site running in the background, whether you write to me or not.
Day to day
How do I send you my requests?
By email or WhatsApp, whichever you prefer. Phrase the request the way you would to a colleague: “change the Sunday opening hours”, “add the new menu”, “replace this photo”, and I take care of it. No ticket to open, no form to fill in, no hotline to call.
How many changes can I request each month?
The subscription covers every everyday change, with no set limit, within reasonable use. In practice: changing a text, a photo, opening hours, a promotion or a news item, adding a team member or a testimonial: all included, as often as needed. For anything not included (a new page, a redesign, a new feature), I send you a quote first.
What if I have an urgent request on a Sunday evening?
I can be reached Monday to Friday, 9am to 7pm (Paris time), and requests are handled within 2 working days. A request sent at the weekend is handled from Monday.
My current site is on Wix, WordPress, or was built by my nephew. How does moving over work?
Dylabz Connect doesn’t migrate your existing site: I build a new one, designed to work with the service. While it is being built, your current site stays online. The switch only happens once you have approved the new site. On launch day, I point the domain name to the new site and take care of everything. You don’t have to touch a thing. If you want to keep content from the old site (text, photos), I help you with that.
Do you handle SEO and Google visibility?
The site is delivered optimised for the SEO basics: speed, structure, tags, mobile, clean content. Going further (active local search, ranking tracking, regular content) is on quotation. The Google Business Profile is a €90 option.
Tech & peace of mind
What technology is it built on? Will my site be fast?
Dylabz Connect sites are built with Astro, a modern technology that produces static sites, so they are very fast. In practice: a site designed for mobile first, which Google reads without difficulty. No WordPress, no plugins that crash, no updates that break everything.
What about GDPR, SSL and legal notices?
The site is delivered with an SSL certificate (the small padlock in the browser), and a basic legal notice and privacy policy. Audience measurement sets no cookies, so there is no cookie banner. If a service added to your site does set cookies, I deal with it case by case. For notices specific to your business (complex terms of use, sensitive forms), I help you write them.
Do you have a referral programme?
Yes. If you recommend Dylabz Connect and the person signs up, you get 3 months of subscription free, and they get €100 off their build. The reward is credited as soon as they have paid their deposit and their subscription is active. It is my way of thanking the clients who talk about the service.
